She helped with teas for the rugby teams in a building outside the works gate and discusses the surrounding area. First Aid classes were also held in the same building. Elsie speaks of Whist Drives which were held in the canteen and then of a large photograph of a dinner held in the New County Hotel in 1935 or 1936.

Mark was a wonderful, loving and much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who will be greatly missed. A dearly loved husband to Jean, father to Dan, Emma and Alison, and grampy to Jacob, Magnus, Mary and George. Will be forever missed by his family and friends. Passed away at home on May 24, aged 71. A loving wife, mother and wonderful Nana. Now at rest and free from suffering the ravages of a cruel disease. Greatly missed by Clarence, Claire and Clive, Dan and Rebecca.
